Vital good health can only be achieved in the presence of excellent oral health, and vice versa. BCD dentists work closely with our in-house naturopath and various allied health professionals to ensure you receive a truly holistic treatment experience, incorporating natural health philosophies with orthodox medicine and dentistry. Prevention, minimal intervention and education are the foundations of our practice.
Our clinic is conveniently located in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, ctose to several modes of public transport, and easily accessible from the airport. Upon arrival, you will be greeted with a warm cup of our organic herbal tea and invited to relax in our wait-room and leaf through one of our many enlightening books or browse our modest range of dental and health products. A carefully chosen selection of natural toothpastes, mouth washes and oral care products are available at the clinic or online. A wide range of books on dental and general health are also available to purchase.
Rest easy, breathe easy too, as we have air filters, negative ion generators and filtered water in use for your benefit, if you have sensitivities or allergies please let us know in advance of your arrival and we will suspend trie use of any scents from essential oils and fresh flowers for the duration of your time here. Each and every one of us is unique, much like a snowflake. In any health related field a ‘one size fits all’ approach only yields good results in a small percentage of people. This is due to the principle of biochemical individuality, which can be summed up by the adage ‘one man’s medicine is another man’s poison”. This holds true for foods, medicines, herbs, vitamins and anything that comes into contact with the body’s internal and even external environment. in order to get to know and understand your unique circumstances our team will take the time to investigate what”s really going on for you A comprehensive history is taken at your first visit in a relaxed conversational manner. X-rays and other investigative tests may be required for the purpose of gathering as much information as possible, before treatment commences to provide you with an optimal outcome .Of course, the flow of information goes both ways. You are provided with as much unbiased advice relating to your treatment as you need. Treatment will not proceed until you are fully informed of all options and costs, and are comfortable with your decision.
As biological dentists we have your health as our first priority. As such there are certain treatments and procedures that we do not perform, in-house. Root canal treatments, implants, ‘silver amalgam fillings and fluoride therapy are, in our opinion of questionable benefit. We simply have not seen any compelling evidence to show that these treatments can enhance ones health. Should you or your dentist decide that you would benefit from a treatment that we dont currently offer in-house we have a referral network of highly skilled specialists on hand that we are happy to entrust your care to.
