Amalgam filling removal
BCD adopts many methods to be as safe as we can when removing amalgam. These methods include mouth dams, separate air supply, shattering the filling rather than grinding it into vapour, high speed suction, negative ion generators, external air outlets, mercury collection.
Fluoride
We are fluoride free.
Root Canal Therapy
BCD chooses not to do root canals. We are as yet unconvinced that retaining a dead tooth is beneficial. We are also unconvinced that a dead tooth can be sterilised and that the canal is filled with a safe material.
We will refer you to a practitioner to obtain a second opinion and who will do RCT.
Extractions
In the event that you do need an extraction, BCD will take all precautions to ensure that the extraction is as clean and complete as possible to minimise potential long term, low grade infection (NICO lesions).
Naturopaths
Our Naturopaths utilise the ORION computerised system to check your health status and to assess the bio compatibility of filling materials and anaesthetics for you. Detox programmes are recommended with amalgam removals.
